How the PBA works
The Power Back Alarm is a microelectronic device designed to alert the user (by way of audible sounds) to change-over when power is restored by PHCN while a power generator or inverter is in use. Every residence needs a PBA because people leave their generating sets on for long hours, consuming fuel while releasing noise and air pollution even after power has been restored .Indicator lamps which are in use by most homes and business premises are limited by location. Thus anyone using a bulb is subjected to continuous inconvenient checks in order to know when power is restored.
But to avoid this problem, this device:
- Produces loud buzzing initial alert sound at a range of 20ft radius for 33secs .
- This is followed by 16 reminder beeps at 15 seconds interval.
- Thus making a total of 4.5 minutes alert beeps.
- It later turns off automatically after giving reminder beeps, finally displaying a sequence of lights via the LEDs. Thus the inconvenience of turning on/off the device is eliminated as the device operates automatically.
- rated [4W, 240V]
